Charity Writing Competition – 2500 words

Theme: It’s Dangerous to Go Alone – We’re looking for stories of adventurers starting out in the Evfurquest world. How did they get into the adventurin’ life? What was their first mission? Please check https://vancoufur.org/lore/ for inspiration! 

Submission deadline: Midnight on Sunday, March 7th. 

Wordcount: 2500 max.

Submission instructions: Donations via https://ko-fi.com/vancoufur are required for submissions to be accepted, $10 minimum. Please put in your donation comment, ‘It’s Dangerous to Go Alone Contest’.

Submit your stories via email to contest@vancoufur.org with a subject line, ‘Writing Contest – It’s Dangerous to Go Alone’, along with a screenshot of your Ko-Fi donation. The file can be .doc or .odt and please include your writing handle and contact email in the document header. All submitted content must be no higher than PG-rated and suitable for the public ConBook.

Prize: Winner gets 20% of the donated submission fees, their story posted on the website, and worked into the 2022 ConBook, and/or as part of the world-building or lore somehow. Runner-up will get an honourable mention on the website and in the 2022 ConBook. Winners will be contacted via email and announced on Vancoufur social media. 

Charity writing contest – 1 Day fiction

Theme/Prompt: Legends and Tales

Write a story worthy of song! Spin us a tale you might hear sung by a bard in a tavern in front of a roaring fire! Stories must relate to the Evfurquest theme and incorporate some element of the existing lore.
